Stunning. This wonderful 7.61 carat oval Tanzanite is of the finest pedigree. Plenty of brilliance and boasting the very finest block D AAA color. Cut on the blue axis, the color is very deeply saturated indeed.
Flawless and beautifully cut.
Outstanding.

TANZANITE
Tanzanite is an extraordinary gemstone. It occurs in only one place worldwide. Its blue, surrounded by a fine hint of purple, is a wonderful color. Tanzanite is a blue variety of the gemstone Zoisite. It consists of calcium aluminum silicate and is not particularly hard, having a value of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. For that reason, it should always be worn carefully and never placed in an ultrasonic bath for cleaning or brought into contact with acids. Tanzanite is the blue/purple variety of the mineral zoisite discovered in the Meralani  Hills of northern Tanzania in 1967, near the city of Arusha. However most tanzanite is subjected to artificial heat treatment to improve its color

This IGI Grading Report is not a valuation or appraisal and contains only the characteristics of the gemstone(s) described herin after it has been tested,
